Shimmer text
An iridescent band of light sweeping across type, or type painted with the moving spectrum. Pure CSS.
Paste it into ChatGPT, Claude, Cursor or v0.
Usage
import { ShimmerText } from '@vizzele/react';
<h2><ShimmerText>Generating your palette…</ShimmerText></h2>
<h2><ShimmerText variant="iridescent">Holographic</ShimmerText></h2>Props
| Prop | Type | Default | Description |
|---|---|---|---|
variant | 'shimmer' | 'iridescent' | 'shimmer' | Sweep or spectrum fill. |
speed | number | 3.2 | Seconds per cycle. |
--vz-shimmer-base | CSS color | var(--vz-text) | Color between sweeps. |
Accessibility
- Text stays real text. The animation stops with reduced motion, leaving a static gradient with sufficient contrast.
